Point Richmond Music’s 2015 season continues on Friday, September 11th, when The Rusty String Express (Bluegrass) and Dennis Johnson & The Mississippi Ramblers (Slide Guitar) take the stage! In addition to great free music, the evening will feature prize drawings, face-painting for children and dancing in the street. Local restaurants are open on concert nights and offer a wide variety of cuisines. Concert-goers can pair fine food with a beverage from Point Richmond Music’s no host bar, with proceeds directly supporting the music series. PRM’s outdoor concert venue is located at the corner of Park Place and Washington Avenue in historic downtown Point Richmond.

The Rusty String Express (RSE) celebrates string band traditions of the past while stretching into the unknown, creating original music with unique and familiar flavors. The RSE is an exciting mash up of acoustic excitement, bubbling creativity, and excellent musicianship, with Aaron Balano on dobro, Alison Bailey Streich on violin, Greg Dunn on bass and Morgan Cochneuer on guitar. These four magnetic musicians are masterful wielders of their instruments, and their music ranges from sensitive and soulful interpretations to wild and unexpected music you’ve never heard before.
