Laura Klein is a Berkeley based pianist, composer, recording artist and bandleader. She has appeared with her trio at SF Jazz, Piedmont Piano, and the California Jazz Conservatory. She is the co-leader, along with her husband Tony Corman, of FivePlay Jazz Quintet. Laura has a busy free-lance career performing with numerous Bay Area luminaries, from vocalists and horn players to big bands. She was recently featured on KCSM’s show “In the Moment” performing her own compositions. Laura has evolved a unique style of playing and composing characterized by rich harmonies, a lyrical sensibility, and personal musical storytelling.
